Get Paid to Tell Stories - People Love Other People's Failures That Turn Into Triumphs

"Facts tell, stories sell." I first heard this saying over 20 Years ago when an Amway representative had me meet him at Denny's for a business meeting. I didn't think much about it until I started looking at sales copy for various products that people were selling on a very popular digital merchant affiliate directory.
I carefully read the copy looking scrupulously looking for "mistakes" that these marketers may make. There seemed to be a common thread among all these types of sales pages. The person was broke all their life. They had to walk uphill to school both ways when they were a kid, in snow, no less. Their house was about to foreclosed on or they are going to go bankrupt before they found that one secret that bailed them out.
Another common thread was that the sales copy was almost enticing; it is great to hear about someone who makes it in this type of business work for them.
I read a title that read something like this (I don't remember the exact title, but you will get the point) "38 year restaurant loser makes an amazing discovery that catapults him into instant online success!" The sales copy started out talking about how the man tried everything possible until he discovered that one thing that put all his marketing efforts together. (Hint: there is no "one thing" other than constant efforts)
The point of sharing this with you is that if you have a truly amazing story to tell people, tell it! Share your experiences and put to good use and people eat right up. Nowadays, I think people can distinguish between what story is truly unbelievable and something that could resemble the truth.
There is another thing that people need to succeed in Internet Marketing...that is a "Blueprint" or a "guide" to show them. People strive in vain to drive traffic to their sites and then get frustrated and quit. Don't do that... I want to show you my appreciation for reading this article.
